1. Purpose of the Service
Purchase Decision Score is a personal decision-support tool designed to help users evaluate potential purchases more deliberately.
The application generates a score, recommendation, risks, possible upsides, and suggested constraints based on the product or service name, price, category, budget, purchase reason, and questionnaire answers provided by the user.
The purpose of the service is to help users structure their own thinking. The service does not make decisions on behalf of the user.
2. No Professional Advice
The scores, recommendations, and comments provided by the application do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, medical or psychological advice, consumer credit advice, or professional budget management advice.
The decision to buy, delay, avoid, or explore alternatives belongs solely to the user. The application is not responsible for financial loss, regret, opportunity cost, product dissatisfaction, or any other outcome resulting from a purchase decision.
3. Limits of Scores
Application scores are based on the information provided by the user and the evaluation model used by the application. Scores may be misleading if the information entered is incomplete, inaccurate, exaggerated, or subjective.
Scores do not represent objective truth. A high score does not prove that a purchase is correct, and a low score does not prove that a purchase is wrong. Scores are only auxiliary signals that may support the decision process.
4. User Responsibilities
The user is responsible for entering accurate and current information, realistically assessing their own budget and priorities, not using the application output as the sole basis for a decision, doing additional research for high-value or important decisions, and consulting relevant people or professionals when a decision may affect family, health, work, or finances.
5. Account Creation and Login
Some features may be used without creating an account. However, creating an account may be required to save decision history, view previous scores, perform post-purchase reviews, or compare saved decisions.
When creating an account, the user may be asked to provide an email address and login credentials. The user is responsible for the security of their account and the confidentiality of their login information.
6. Information Stored
When the user creates an account or imports a guest evaluation into an account, the following information may be stored:
email address,
product or service name,
category,
price and currency,
monthly discretionary budget,
purchase reason,
questionnaire answers,
score and recommendation result,
suggested constraints,
post-purchase review notes,
usage, time-saving, satisfaction, and learning notes.
Guest evaluations may be temporarily stored in the user’s browser before an account is created. If the user clears browser data, this information may be lost.
7. Personal Data and Privacy
The application processes user data to provide the service, manage user accounts, display decision history, generate scores, and improve the product experience.
Decision, answer, and review records are private to the user by default. However, limited access may occur for technical infrastructure, security, debugging, backup, and legal compliance purposes.
The user should not enter special-category personal data, medical reports, national identification numbers, credit card information, banking passwords, addresses, children’s personal data, or sensitive information about third parties into the application.
8. Third-Party Infrastructure
The application may use third-party service providers for authentication, database, security checks, hosting, or similar technical services. These providers may act as technical infrastructure providers in the processing of user data.
Such infrastructure may be used for security, availability, authentication, spam/abuse prevention, and service continuity.
9. Security
The application applies reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data. However, no digital system is completely risk-free.
The user should not enter information into the application that is highly sensitive or could cause harm if disclosed.
10. User Content
The explanations, product names, reasons, answers, and review notes entered by the user are user content.
The user is responsible for ensuring that the content they enter is lawful and does not infringe the rights of third parties. The user must not enter confidential information, trade secrets, personal data, or copyrighted content belonging to others in a way that may create a violation.
11. Changes to the Service
The application’s question sets, weights, scoring model, recommendation categories, interface, and features may change over time.
These changes may make direct comparison between old and new scores difficult. The user acknowledges that the scoring model may evolve over time.
12. Service Interruptions
The application does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability. The service may be temporarily interrupted due to maintenance, updates, technical failures, infrastructure provider issues, or security reasons.
13. Limitation of Liability
The application provides decision support; it does not guarantee the outcome of any decision.
The service provider is not responsible for purchases made or not made based on application scores, financial losses, opportunity costs, dissatisfaction, third-party product/service issues, or indirect damages.
14. Acceptance
By creating an account, logging in via magic link, or saving an evaluation result to an account, the user confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these terms.
If the user does not accept these terms, they should not use the application or create an account.
15. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. For material changes, the user may be notified within the application or by email. Continued use of the application after changes means that the user accepts the updated terms.
16. Account and Data Deletion
The user may request deletion of their account or saved decision data. Deletion requests may be sent to [contact email].
Some data may be retained for a limited period where required by legal obligations, security records, or technical backup processes.
